AlterNative media was started in 1996 by Cyril Suszckiewicz and Andrew Painter in Kyoto, Japan.

Both Cyril and Andrew are Cultural Anthropologists who created the first foreign-produced regular broadcast program ever done in Japan. In 1999 "Inside the Metro" was a nation wide monthly program featuring art and music from Japan's youth culture.

Cyril has shot and produced video segments for major networks and now primarily concentrates on delivering the best and most reliable video services to Law Firms and other business clients.
